Job Overview

:
1. To successfully manage the Facilities Services at the main County Hall building complex, which is the highest profile building within the ECC portfolio. The role will involve a high level of Customer engagement at all levels, building robust relationships with Essex Property and Facilities team and other ECC key stakeholders which is pivotal to MITIE's service offering on the contract.
2. Stakeholders include – Client Corporate Health & Safety, Disability forums, Councillors, Chairman, Leader of Council, CEO, Mayor, Coroners court, Chelmsford Library, Council employees.

Main Responsibilities:

3. Establish and manage site and priority escalations to ensure an effective response
4. To build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
5. Ensure that all PPM and Reactive calls, SLA's and KPI's, including the Company's set targets, are met for County Hall.
6. To manage and develop a professional and effective operational team, ensuring objectives are set, monitored and achieved and that all employees are appraised and have a personal development plan.
7. Lead by example with regards to health and safety, compliance with statutory and contractual legislative requirements.
8. To support the development of new works and opportunities, ensuring continuous growth.
9. To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time to all levels of management as required.
10. To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
11. To manage all necessary induction, operational risk scenarios, and safety training requirements across the areas of responsibility.
12. Having knowledge of Hard services but utilising Soft services knowledge to support the operations within Cleaning, Porterage and Security.
13. Corporate Social Responsibility areas –
14. To establish, maintain & lead on educational programmes and recruitment within the local community for young persons, vulnerable persons & minority groups. (Mitie Apprenticeship, Mitie/ECL Ready2Work, ECC GoldLay Gardens, ECC National Citizenship, ECC Recruitment fairs, ECC short work placements, ECC Volunteering days)
15. Be proactive and lead on ECC environmental initiatives (i.e. single-use plastic campaign, outdoor garden retreat, Cllr tree planting, Recycle, Reuse and Reduce initiatives).
16. Lead on Business Continuity Planning

What we're looking for:

17. Extensive experience within Facilities Management or equivalent.
18. Holding relevant accreditations or qualifications to support daily operations.
19. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
20. Ability to network and liaise with all individuals onsite.
21. Confident to carry out PPMs, remedial and reactive works.
22. Passionate, driven and motivated to support the success of ECC and Mitie
