We have an exciting opportunity for a Rehabilitation Assistant to work with a young, active man with a spinal cord injury who is living independently in the Crewe area. You will help our client maintain and improve his physical wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. Youll play an important role in carrying out tailored rehabilitation activities and providing day-to-day practical support both at home and in the community.

The Role:
Assisting with setting up and supervising the use of gym equipment and rehabilitation equipment in line with the clients therapy programme, under the guidance of physiotherapists or other professionals.
Assisting with access to a local swimming pool to allow participation in swimming or hydrotherapy sessions.
Assisting with domestic tasks / light household cleaning tasks, such as tidying, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a clean and comfortable home environment.
Providing motivation and emotional support during rehabilitation activities, helping to build confidence and independence.
Keeping an accurate daily written record of work, including activities, progress, and any observations or concerns to share with the wider therapy team.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who are flexible, reliable, trustworthy, and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour and enjoy being active.
You should also be open minded and willing to learn new skills.
You should have a basic education with good written and verbal communication skills.
No specific qualifications are required but you must be able and willing to follow mandatory training and to learn specific skills to work effectively with client according to his care plan.
You should have the ability to provide a high standard of therapeutic support with a caring and professional approach .
Completion of the Care Certificate is an advantage.
You must have:
A full clean driving licence is preferred.
Previous care experience is preferred.
Shift Patterns:
2 x 4 hour shifts per week, on set days .
