Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Project Controls Officer. This role is within the oil & gas, energy, and construction industries, based in Rochester, for a 12-month contract inside IR35.
Role:
As a Project Controls Officer, you will work with the wider Project Controls team to ensure departmental deliverables are prepared on time and communicated clearly, such as the Project Management Plan.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain SharePoint and Power BI dashboards.
* Manage change control and risk management processes.
* Develop and deliver core functions within the Engineering & Construction department.
* Support governance reporting, including compiling key datasets, performance indicators, and metrics.
* Develop planning and schedules within a multi-project environment, analyzing and reporting key metrics from programmes like Primavera and MS Project.
Role Requirements:
The Project Controls Officer will support the Project Controls lead with administration and team organization. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in a STEM subject is desirable.
* Experience in Project Controls functions within construction or utilities sectors.
* Industry experience in UK Gas, LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Storage, Vaporisation, Shipping, Cryogenic Pipelines, or Gas Compression, particularly at top-tier COMAH sites.
* Good understanding of main Project Controls functions, including cost, change, risk, and planning.
