Job Description

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you’ll see the impact of your work almost immediately. You’ll support children and families to unlock communication, confidence and independence, while becoming part of a passionate, forward-thinking multi-disciplinary team. As we continue to grow at Autism Early Support, you’ll help equip children with the tools they need to communicate, explore, play and enjoy the world around them. We believe every child should have the chance to find their place in the world, be able to communicate their needs and learn alongside their peers with acceptance and support. Our aim is to work alongside parents and practitioners to give every child the foundations they need for the next stage of their education. Your responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist at Autism Early Support

* Carrying out dynamic assessments with children aged 2–12 and producing clear, timely reports
* Delivering tailored support programmes for children, families and education settings
* Working directly with parents and professionals to implement practical strategies
* Contributing to online webinars, workshops and digital learning content
* Supporting schools through consultations, clinics and targeted support programmes
* Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to improve outcomes for children

What you’ll bring to the team as a Speech and Language Therapist

* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and current HCPC registration
* Previous experience supporting children with sensory and communication differences
* Experience carrying out a range of standardised and non-standardised assessments
* Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming practice and the neurodiversity paradigm
* Experience contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans and working with education professionals
