Estimator
Location: Cornwall
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE
We are working with a well-established contractor who is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team, specialising in groundworks projects across the South West.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a proven background in estimating within the construction and/or civil engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparing accurate cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects
2. Analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
3. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate tenders
4. Supporting the commercial and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
5. Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Requirements
6. Proven experience as an EstimatorExperience within groundworks, civil engineering, or development would be advantageous
7. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry regulations
8. Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office / COINS
9. Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to deadlines
10. Strong communication and negotiation skills
