We have an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified B5 Staff Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Highpoint, a category C prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. The prison has two sites: the North Building, which houses 390 male inmates, and the South Building, which houses 950 inmates. Both sites have designated healthcare departments where you will be based.
As a newly qualified professional, Practice Plus Group will support you through a comprehensive 12‑month preceptorship programme that includes regular mentoring, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to help you build confidence and competence in your role.
Responsibilities
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients and undertake reception screening.
* Deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.

Employment Details
This position is full time. You will receive a starting salary of £34 428 per annum FTE, depending on experience. Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course, up to 4 % pension contribution, up to 4 weeks occupation sick pay and support from the wider team.
