We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions that ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in working with automation frameworks, API testing, and Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in CI/CD environments. This role requires technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities - Test Design & Execution: - Design and implement automated and manual test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing. - Execute tests and validate results to ensure product quality and compliance. - API & System Integration Testing: - Perform API testing using tools like RestAssured and PACT. - Validate system integration across multiple platforms and environments. - CI/CD & Release Support: - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven. - Agile Practices: - Participate in Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives). - Contribute to PI Planning and provide accurate Agile test estimations. - Defect Management: - Conduct defect triage sessions, prioritize fixes, and ensure timely resolution. - Maintain defect logs and communicate status updates to stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications - Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent. - Automation & Testing Expertise: API Testing, Automation & Manual Testing. - Programming & Tools: Java, JUnit, WireMock, Selenium, Cucumber, OpenPOJO, RestAssured, PACT. - Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ, AWS Desired Skills Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, Dynatrace, Grafana, SonarQube, Swagger, Kafka Soft Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to work independently Cognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
