Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Barnet NW4 that offers a resourced provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and other additional needs. We are seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their SEN support team from September, working within a well-structured and inclusive setting.
About the Role
* You will work within the school's specialist resourced provision, supporting young people across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, using tailored teaching strategies and structured routines to help pupils succeed. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing personalised one-to-one support for pupils with EHCPs
* Leading targeted intervention sessions focused on literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills
* Supporting behaviour management, emotional regulation, and positive routines
* Collaborating with SENCo, teaching staff, families, and external professionals
* Monitoring progress and contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in a secondary or resourced SEN setting (KS3/KS4)
* Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and differentiation strategies
* Ability to deliver structured support in small group contexts
* Strong communicator, patient, flexible, and resilient
* Relevant qualifications and DBS clearance
