HW Finance are proud to be partnering with a leading Retail Group to appoint a Head of Financial Planning, a high-impact leadership role at the heart of the finance function. This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced FP&A leader to shape and drive a unified, forward-looking financial planning strategy across a complex, fast-paced organisation. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will lead the delivery of the Group’s 5-year plan, annual budget, and in-year forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and providing clear insight to senior stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in: Driving a joined-up, cross-functional planning approach across P&L, cash, and performance metrics Providing forward-looking insight, challenge, and analysis to executive leadership Leading planning transformation, improving processes, systems, and forecasting accuracy Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and commercial curiosity Supporting Board-level decision-making through high-quality analysis and storytelling Key Requirements: Qualified accountant with significant post-qualified experience in FP&A leadership Proven track record of leading planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence operating at Board level Commercially astute, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insight A natural leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments Passionate about driving performance, improving processes, and developing teams
