Our service in Caterham supports and assists up to 9 adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. The bungalow is one of Active Prospects specialist sites that provides care and support to people with dual diagnosis which can include have mental health needs (dual diagnosis), autistic spectrum conditions, dementia and epilepsy. The aim of this service is to ensure all people we support are able to achieve their goals and aspirations and to encourage them to become independent by learning new skills and enjoying activities.
As a Support Worker, you will be included in creating activities and ensuring the people we support receive a great level of care within their home. You will be supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations - no matter how big or small they are - and to promote independence by learning new skills.
The role is about supporting people to lead a Gloriously ordinary life full of opportunity, fun and helping people to reach their goals and aspirations. The role can be tough, you will need to be adaptable, flexible, mature and be able to support our people to gain back their independence through empowerment, active support, positive risk-taking and out of the box thinking.
