An exciting opportunity hasarisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team inthe Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department at Barnsley Hospital. We arecurrently seeking to recruit an Assistant Medical Secretary. You will hold anRSA/OCR III typing and audio qualification or have equivalent experience. Thisis a busy role, requiring a flexible approach to work.
You will have excellentcommunication skills which will enable you to respond professionally tointernal and external enquiries. You will have a positive, friendly attitudeand be able to liaise with a wide range of staff and patients.
Main duties of the job
This role will be required to support the Senior Medical Secretary in providing medical secretarial support to the Consultant and their team within the department, and communicate with service users and patients with regards to clinics, appointments and queries.
