Pratt & Whitney Canada UK forms part of the Regional Customer Service Centre Network and has a repair centre based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
What you will do:
This position is responsible for supporting the P&WC UK Finance team across all areas of treasury, accounts payable and payroll.
During this placement you will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of finance activities, working alongside experienced finance professionals and supporting real business initiatives to include:
Accounts Payable – processing PO & Non PO invoices, getting approvals, processing these onto SAP. Dealing with queries around PO and ensuring a timely response.
Coordinating the expenses administration process
Weekly Timesheet processing - reconciling with SAP and follow up on any queries.
Support with the annual archiving exercise
Monthly performance review KPI analysis
Recharge invoicing posting
Weekly bank reconciliation
Supporting with any other finance projects and day to day actives as and when they arise.
What you will learn:
You’ll receive hands-on training and guidance from experienced colleagues, giving you the opportunity to build confidence, develop practical skills, and apply what you’re learning at university in a real workplace environment.
You’ll be encouraged to get involved, ask questions, and take ownership of your learning as your capability grows. During the placement, you’ll gain exposure to the full finance lifecycle, with opportunities to work across areas such as accounts payable, month-end reporting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Qualifications We're looking for:
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic student who is keen to learn and committed to achieving both personal and business goals while working as part of a busy finance team.
You’ll be studying towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related subject and have a genuine curiosity about how finance works in a real-world business environment. You must be available to complete a 12-month industrial placement starting in July 2026.
You’ll bring a strong work ethic and an organised approach, with the ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines. You’ll also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and feel comfortable working with a wide range of people and teams at all levels across the organisation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, with particularly strong skills in Excel.
