Our client has both an Insurance Services Company and a Claims Services Company based in Goudhurst, Kent. They are looking to recruit a Part-Time Bookkeeper to assist them on average 4 to 8 hours a week, with additional hours at the end of the year.
The Bookkeeper role:
* · All purchase and sales ledger
* · Bank reconciliations
* · Knowledge of payments from GBP/USD and Euros, so conversion is required to GBP
* · VAT return for the Claims company
* · Must have experience using QuickBooks or Xero that is similar (may be looking to transition to Zero)
* · Assist with FCA returns
* · Producing monthly management accounts for directors and FCA compliance
* · Accruals and pre-payments
* · Maintaining work in progress spreadsheet for claims company
* · Liaising with auditors and accountants
* · Weekly update on expenditure and payments to directors, including loans
* · Proficient in the use of Excel
* · Need to be able to work independently and be used to working on your own initiative and problem-solving
* · Need to be able to regularly identify the needs of directors in terms of the financial position of the companies – profit, loss, etc.
* · Well organised and accurate
* · Payroll for both companies
Hourly wage depending on experience circa £17 to £18 per hour
