Responsible for procuring supplies and services not available through standard sources, in accordance with JSPs 332 & 895.
Provide high-level customer service by advising and responding to correspondence, enquiries, and requests from staff, suppliers, and external agencies via email, telephone, and procurement systems.
Maintain and update accurate procurement records for all processes related to the LVP Cell Manager, ensuring records are kept for audit purposes.
Explain procurement processes and requirements to those responsible for business unit spend to ensure best practices. Offer advice on quotes and historic order information, considering the complexity of procurement and time constraints. Maintain an understanding of commercial awareness.
Establish and develop strong working relationships with customers and third-party suppliers to ensure service quality is maintained and challenged to meet service level agreements.
Engage in personal and professional development relevant to the role.
Ensure all purchases align with departmental objectives, Civil Service Code, and Military Service core values and standards.
Complete mandatory training related to the role.
Undertake training to obtain a Tailspend purchasing Account and Contracting Purchasing & Finance (CP&F).
Utilize contractual powers to operate the Electronic Procurement Card (ePC) in accordance with JSPs 332 & 895.
Provide QM Accounts with details of all orders received to enable goods to be accounted for and to maintain an audit trail.
Assist in maintaining the LVP office as a safe working environment in accordance with unit standing orders and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Perform any miscellaneous tasks as directed by Line Management, appropriate to grade and function.
