Position Overview
The position holder will be a key member of the team developing, planning, and delivering training for client equipment and some third-party equipment in the Naval, Surveillance, and Government market sectors.
The job involves travel within the UK and overseas.
The role requires motivation and initiative in planning activities to achieve timely and effective results with minimal supervision.
As this is a customer-facing role, a confident manner and smart appearance are essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly within the company and with customers, whose first language may not be English.
Job Functions
* Develop, plan, and present training courses for equipment, systems, and third-party equipment.
* Support a culture of continuous improvement.
* Contribute proactively to the growth and development of the company.
* Travel within the UK and overseas when required to conduct training.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, which may involve accompanying engineers during service interventions.
* Perform any other tasks related to this role.
Requirements
* Computer literate with a good standard of written English, capable of compiling accurate and well-presented training documentation.
* Practical knowledge of computer networking.
* Willing to work at heights, with training provided.
Qualifications
* Ideally qualified to A level or higher in an engineering discipline.
Physical Attributes
* Ability to walk 300-400 meters with a toolkit, possibly weighing 10 kilos.
* Ability to climb the equivalent of 10 flights of stairs and possibly use a ladder for 10 meters.
* Ability to work in tight spaces, requiring twisting and maneuvering.
Employee Compliance
* Adhere to operational instructions and procedures related to company policies, reporting, and controls.
* Take reasonable care for health and safety, as per Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Cooperate with the employer, including the proper use of PPE.
* Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action.
