We have an excellent opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client in Torquay, Devon.
Client: A man in his 50s with complex needs including schizophrenia, autism and mildly challenging behaviour. He lives in his own property with a 24/7 support team. He enjoys crazy golf, bowling, the cinema, seafront walks, arts and crafts, visiting the zoo and going out for food.
Candidate: Must have experience working with complex needs/mental health support and strong communication skills to build a solid, supporting relationship. Female or male.
Pay: £13.99 per hour weekdays & £14.99 per hour weekends.
Hours: 36 hours over a two-week period (Week 1 Wednesday & Thursday 08:00‑20:00, Week 2 Tuesday 08:00‑20:00).

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
* Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
* Genuine passion for working with people and providing care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient and empathetic nature.
* Reliability, commitment and flexibility.
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Ability to deal with challenging behaviours.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
