Environmental Engineer - Permanent, Full-time
Location: Barrow Mill, Barrow-in-Furness, UK

It starts with YOU. Our Environmental Engineer leads the implementation of process and management system opportunities across the site to ensure continued legislative compliance and to exceed performance standards, aligning business strategy.
They work closely with fellow Environmental specialists across the UK, IFP and Global to ensure common learnings are captured and shared; influence process design and development in environmental management across the UK Mills; and that Kimberly-Clark requirements are understood and applied consistently.
Guiding and advising Managers and Senior Engineers on new plant and equipment design to ensure Environmental best practice is applied.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with Corporate and EU/UK Law and other EHS requirements; deliver all critical legal and Corporate reporting requirements; collaborate with authorities like the Environment Agency.
* Process Development: Understand existing process capabilities; identify improvement opportunities; act as Subject Matter Expert for environmental matters.
* Waste Water Treatment: Oversee effluent plant operations; ensure operations are within environmental consent; maximize recycling of effluent water.
* Waste Management: Manage waste arising in accordance with Kimberly-Clark's Duty of Care.
* Emissions Management: Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to emissions; support radiation source management on site.

Qualifications:
* Must be IEMA Foundation certified; experience in FMCG environment preferred.
* Environmental related degree and ISO Lead Auditor qualification preferred or willing to obtain.
