We're looking for a Cost Manager to join our KierBAM team based in Plymouth. Join our exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth as a Cost Manager within our collaborative KierBAM Joint Venture partnership. In this rewarding role, you'll be responsible for managing and balancing project costs while ensuring quality standards and timelines are met. You'll work in a supportive environment where your expertise in financial analysis and contract management will truly make a difference.
Responsibilities
As a Cost Manager, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in delivering projects within budget constraints. Your day-to-day will include:
* Preparing accurate cost estimates and developing realistic budgets based on project scope
* Analysing financial data and creating clear reports for stakeholders
* Managing contracts, payments, variations, and resolving any claims
* Collaborating with the project team to identify and mitigate cost-related risks
* Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value for materials and services
Qualifications
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
We are looking for candidates with:
* Strong knowledge of cost management principles and experience with budgeting software
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
* Confidence with Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions and data analysis
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy
