Job Description
As Finance Manager, you'll take ownership of all financial activity at a key operational site while also supporting wider UK finance initiatives and projects.Day-to-day, you'll be:
3. Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance
4. Managing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow, providing clear insight into performance
5. Monitoring multiple revenue streams and cost centres, identifying opportunities to improve profitability
6. Partnering with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight and influence decision-making
7. Supporting pricing strategies and contributing to commercial negotiations
8. Assessing investment opportunities, including infrastructure and development projects
9. Overseeing audit processes, governance, and financial controls
10. Managing relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
11. Playing a key role in projects, process improvements, and wider finance strategy
This is a highly visible role which blends hands-on finance responsibilities with commercial and strategic input, offering excellent exposure across the business.
The Successful Applicant
12. A qualified or strong part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with solid post-qualified experience
13. Background in a Finance Manager or Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role, ideally within a fast-paced or operational environment
14. Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to turn data into insight
15. Confident communicator, comfortable partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
16. Able to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment
17. High attention to detail, strong integrity, and a proactive mindset
18. Experience in sectors such as logistics, infrastructure, or transport is beneficial but not essential
