Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a fantastic organisation who are looking to hire an experienced and technically strong Payroll Manager to take full responsibility of their diverse payroll function.
The Payroll Manager will work in a standalone capacity, liaising closely with HR and reporting into the HR Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, direct and manage payroll activities across the group
Review, improve and implement all systems and procedures
Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle within the payroll function including pension and benefits
Manage relationships with third parties such as HMRC & software providers
Ensure timely and accurate submissions of statutory returns to employees and HMRC
Be responsible for sickness and absence records and the administration of company benefits including pension, car schemes, healthcare, bonus payments and loans
Experience required:
Excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation
Proficiency with Sage 50 payroll
Extensive experience within an inhouse payroll function
Confidence working within a sole capacity
This role offers 1 day per week working from home.
