This is a broad and engaging position, offering the chance to work on a variety of renewable energy projects—including wind, hydro, tidal, solar, hydrogen, and battery storage—often in collaboration with leading London firms. The role also involves elements of crofting law and rural commercial development, with cross-disciplinary exposure to planning, banking, and corporate work. Applicants should be newly qualified, ideally with renewables experience and a genuine interest in rural commercial development. A real estate seat during traineeship is desirable but not essential. Our client, a well-regarded UK Law Firm with a strong national presence is seeking a newly qualified Solicitor to join its Real Estate Team in Glasgow. The role will report to a senior partner and involves working on a varied and engaging caseload including purchase and sale agreements, real estate finance, planning and environmental law, social housing, and regeneration projects. The team is collaborative and includes professionals at varying levels of seniority, offering strong support and development opportunities. Applicants should be NQ level and have completed at least one seat in commercial property. In-House Legal Associate – Edinburgh (Assignment 17340) We are delighted to have been exclusively instructed on this in-house legal role with a renewable energy organisation based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing international company dedicated to offshore wind energy, supporting its mission to develop, finance, build, and operate wind farm projects around the world. The position involves drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including FIDIC, LOGIC, and BIMCO agreements, as well as supply and confidentiality agreements. The successful candidate will manage contractor claims, instruct and liaise with external counsel, advise on regulatory matters, and assist with legal queries from across the business. The role offers exposure to high-value projects and a broad variety of legal and commercial work within the energy sector. Applicants must be Scots or English qualified with up to 4 years’ PQE and should have experience in commercial litigation and/or commercial contracts, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sectors. Child & Family Law – Edinburgh (Assignment 16501) We are pleased to be exclusively instructed on a new opportunity with a specialist family Law Firm based in Edinburgh. The firm focuses on child, family, and incapacity law, including areas such as divorce, custody, guardianship, and powers of attorney. A vacancy has arisen for a Family Lawyer to join the team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Reporting directly to a senior partner, the successful candidate will become part of a close-knit team. The role involves providing legal advice across a broad spectrum of family and child law matters, with opportunities to work on legal aid cases, guardianships, and potentially matters relating to mental health and incapacity law. Participation in children’s panel work is also encouraged. You will assist with contract analysis, evidence compilation, drafting pleadings and submissions, and representing clients in dispute resolution forums. There will also be opportunities to contribute to business development, legal updates, and team training initiatives, including the integration of legal technology and AI tools. Applicants must be qualifying in 2025 and able to demonstrate a strong interest in contentious construction law. Previous experience in dispute resolution or construction during traineeship will be an advantage. Private Client – Glasgow (Assignment 17341) Our client, a respected Scottish law firm, is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor to join its established team in Glasgow. The role involves advising clients on matters such as Wills, Powers of Attorney, executries, trusts, and inheritance tax planning. The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own caseload and contribute to the firm’s client-focused ethos. Candidates who are newly qualified or have up to five years of post-qualification experience should bring solid technical knowledge of private client law, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
