Overview
Fire & Security Engineer role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services.
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire Extinguishers/associated equipment and products to relevant legislative and qualitative standards, with appropriate documentation and records.
* Work to high Health and Safety requirements with previous experience in a similar role performing PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry.
* Service tests and inspections to relevant standards/codes, including fault-finding techniques.
* Attend and participate in company-initiated training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical aspects of the role.
* Ideal candidates may have experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS, and familiarity with Health and Safety Legislation, preferably in engineering.
* Share technical and problem-solving abilities with colleagues, take initiative, and work with limited supervision.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in a similar Fire & Security role performing PPM, reactive tasks, Small Works, and fault-finding.
* Good communication skills and basic literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to meet high Health & Safety standards and to work with appropriate documentation and records.
