Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a diverse and inclusive educational setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students of all abilities. Responsibilities Work closely with individual students with EHCPs to provide academic and pastoral support. Implement specific learning plans and instructional strategies as outlined in EHCPs. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to promote an inclusive and accessible learning environment for children with SEN. Monitor and track student progress, and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents/guardians. Support students in developing independence, social skills, and self-regulation. Qualifications Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including Autism, ADHD and Challenging Behaviour. Strong understanding of inclusive education principles and practices. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of students, staff, and families. Day-to-Day Provide one-on-one support to students during classroom activities and independent work. Assist students with mobility, sensory, or personal care needs as required. Foster positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and confidence in their abilities. Implement behavior management strategies to support student well-being and promote a positive learning environment. Communicate regularly with teachers and other staff to ensure coordinated and consistent support for students with EHCPs. All applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).​ This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
