Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced SEN Tutors to support young people in Cosham across a range of educational needs and age groups.
We offer face-to-face tuition for learners from EYFS to Post-16, with sessions ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week per student. Tutors can choose part-time or full-time hours, depending on availability and referrals.
As a Tutor, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet the student's individual needs and interests
Support the young person in developing emotional regulation strategies
Foster a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment
Gradually build a strong rapport and encourage participation at the student's own pace
Work closely with parents/carers and other professionals as neededAbout you:
Have at least 1 year of experience working within UK schools
Are confident in planning and delivering creative, learner-centred sessions
Proven experience supporting learners with:
SEN (Special Educational Needs)
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
Complex additional needs

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
