Early Years Teacher – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Temp-to-Perm
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Overview:
We are working with a well-resourced special school in Wolverhampton to recruit a passionate and reflective Early Years Teacher. This role is ideal for a mainstream-trained teacher interested in transitioning into SEN and making a positive impact in a child-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
* Teaching children aged 3–5 with additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays.
* Planning and delivering engaging, play-based lessons tailored to individual needs.
* Collaborating with experienced teaching assistants and therapists.
* Building strong relationships and celebrating progress.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience in Early Years or KS1, mainstream or SEN.
* Nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience or interest in SEN teaching.
* Familiarity with EYFS framework and SEN strategies (PECS, Makaton, sensory play).
* Willingness to undertake CPD in SEN.
