This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading national electrical wholesaler eager to attract industry-experienced business professionals looking to advance their careers.
Your role involves managing all aspects of a busy and successful electrical wholesale profit centre. The ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge and a network of electrical suppliers and contractors, with experience managing high-profile customer accounts and a drive to secure new business.
You should possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical products including cables, wiring accessories, lighting, lamps, energy management, safety, and security. Building strong customer relationships and a proven track record of business growth and exceeding targets are essential.
This role is ideal for someone who can lead by example, head their own profit centre, and meet key performance indicators.
* Manage, lead, and develop the branch and sales management team, focusing on profitable growth and excellent customer service.
* Formulate branch and area budgets, and be responsible for achieving sales, profit, and service KPIs.
* Communicate the company's service proposition, target markets, and customer service ethos to staff.
* Support and drive group sales initiatives and promotions.
* Promote health & safety policies and ensure compliance.
* Manage recruitment and daily staff management.
* Monitor compliance with procedures and take corrective actions as needed.
* Review and improve operational processes for efficiency and profitability.
Applicants must have a proven sales development background in electrical wholesale/distribution, with leadership skills and the ability to foster strong business relationships with customers and suppliers.
The role includes full responsibility for profit and loss, staffing, sales, marketing, purchasing, distribution, strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting, all carried out with enthusiasm and entrepreneurial flair.
