Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
This position is responsible for maintaining and embedding the framework, policies, and processes that support Procurement, Vendor Management, and Third Party Risk Management across the Group.
A key part of the role involves leading the development and implementation of Aldermore’s Third Party Risk Management Framework and associated policies. You will play a critical role in ensuring the Group remains compliant with all regulatory requirements while managing risk across our supplier base. Central to this role is establishing the right governance and controls to ensure suppliers are managed effectively and support the Group’s overall strategic objectives.
What will your day look like?
1. Provide strategic direction and guidance to stakeholders up to Executive Committee level in relation to Third Party Risk Management.
2. Provide subject matter expertise in managing suppliers and the associated risk to business areas and central functions.
3. Develop and review the frameworks and policies for Third Party Risk Management
4. Work collaboratively with operational stakeholders to manage and develop suppliers at a proportionate and appropriate level, in accordance with the supplier management framework and regulatory expectations.
5. Ensure supplier due diligence is completed in line with the supplier management framework. Any issues and risks are assessed and reported upon to business stakeholders.
6. Support operational stakeholders in regular supplier meetings with Management Information and insight.
7. Support the Group develop and improve the supplier management framework, providing technical and insight.
What do we expect from you?
8. An experiences leader with extensive experience in Third party Supplier Management, preferably from within the Financial Services industry.
9. Working knowledge of the appropriate standards and regulations FCA/PRA/BoE requirements in relation to Third party Risk Management.
10. Management skills; proven engaging and inclusive management style.
11. Analytical skills – able to analyse and interpret key facts across a spectrum of data sources, providing stakeholders with clear and concise recommendations and reports.
12. Proven stakeholder engagement experience, including experience of working in a matrix management structure.
13. Problem solving / decision making skills - ability to decide, under pressure, the best course of action required to solve a range of problems from complex queries to technical issues.
