As part of our Cost Management team, you'll be involved in a wide range of projects from global and high-profile to small and impactful, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting, and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will join a team of cost managers and project managers on various projects in the energy sector. Your role will involve assisting project teams with the formation of contract procurement documentation and managing contracts during the execution phase to support the safe, successful delivery of our clients' programs, projects, and business objectives.

The Quantity Surveyor provides professional commercial support to the client’s programme/project teams through efficient identification, procurement, and administration of contracts, controlling costs and risks, and forecasting in support of the Programme/Project Execution Plans.

You should have excellent interpersonal skills to build positive and effective relationships within project teams and the wider client organization.

· Work independently within established financial systems to monitor and review project costs and variances on small commercial, regeneration, or residential projects to control cost variables.

· Manage medium to large-scale cost projects or significant components of cost management assignments, ensuring the delivery of scope within deadlines.

· Understand and comply with business risk policies, and communicate concerns to senior managers to prevent adverse impacts.

· Advise colleagues on risk management principles to ensure adherence to organizational risk and compliance processes.

· Analyze data to identify trends and prepare documentation such as delivery plans, supporting cost and commercial decision-making.

· Review and analyze existing cost and commercial management processes, sharing knowledge and participating in service improvements and innovation.

· Interact with internal and external stakeholders, applying technical knowledge to ensure project delivery meets expectations.

· Provide technical advice and guidance within the area, supporting colleagues with cost management queries and sharing knowledge to enhance service quality.

· Collaborate with external stakeholders to understand their needs, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Relevant professional qualification or chartered status with a professional institution (e.g., RICS, CIPS, ICE, CIOB).

· Experience with the NEC suite of contracts.

· Experience in delivering analysis and insights.

· Strong self-management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including stakeholder influence.

· Ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
