University Hospitals of Derby & Burton are seeking to recruit a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, who together with 17 other Consultant Oncologists will provide a comprehensive service for the people of Southern Derbyshire and East Staffordshire.
We are looking for a Clinical Oncologist with an interest in Urology and Colorectal tumour sites
The posts are based at the Royal Derby Hospital with work at Queens Hospital Burton which provide Cancer Services for the population of Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire.

We are happy to recruit less than full time candidates to complement our existing medical team so if your preference is for less than full time hours, we are happy to discuss further.
The Appointee Will Be Responsible For
* Provision of a comprehensive service in Oncology with consultant colleagues, including new patient and follow-up clinics at Derby and Burton.
* Provision of emergency cover and reciprocal cover for your consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave, on a shared basis. This will include care of patients and supervision of junior doctors.
* The care of patients in their charge and for the proper functioning of the Department
* Undertaking teaching/training duties as required and actively participating in the postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programmes
* Participating in clinical and medical audit and actively contributing in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance
* Actively participating in continuing medical education (CME)
