Temporary Senior Policy Manager
3 month temporary covering (potential to extend)
£32 per hour
Hybrid 1 – 2 days London Office
A short-term opportunity for an experienced policy and advocacy professional to influence public policy and business practice in support of workers in developing countries.
The role
• Develop and deliver policy and advocacy strategies in priority areas (e.g. trade policy, living income and wage, climate, business and human rights)
• Support parliamentary and government engagement, including briefings, correspondence and meetings
• Monitor political and regulatory developments and identify risks and opportunities
• Produce clear, high-quality policy analysis and messaging
• Work collaboratively across teams and with external partners, NGOs and networks
About you
• Proven experience in policy, public affairs or advocacy at national and/or international level
• Strong understanding of UK political systems and influencing processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to translate complex issues into accessible, persuasive messages
• Values-driven, collaborative and able to work at pace
