Global Service Engineer
Location: South Yorkshire / North Yorkshire (UK & International Travel Required)
Salary: Competitive + Overtime + Travel Allowances
Basic Saary of £38,000 - £43,000
OTE: £50,000 - £53,000
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established global engineering manufacturer supplying advanced lubrication and coating systems to the glass container industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive engineering team where no two days are the same.
The Role
As a Global Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Installing, commissioning, testing, and servicing advanced lubrication and coating machinery at customer sites across the UK and overseas
* Diagnosing and resolving electrical control and PLC-related issues
* Providing on-site technical support and delivering an excellent customer experience
* Producing accurate service and engineering reports
* Participating in an on-call rota to support global clients
* Representing the business professionally as a key point of contact for international customers
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Qualified to ONC level or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
* Experienced with electrical control systems and comfortable with mechanical aspects
* Able to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines
* Flexible to travel frequently in the UK and overseas, including outside normal working hours
* PC literate, with some exposure to PLC systems (Siemens or Schneider advantageous)
* A strong communicator who can build rapport with customers worldwide
* In possession of a full UK driving licence
* Foreign language skills are a bonus but not essential.
