Our role as a team is to ensure we support the recruitment of the right people, at the right time, as safely and as quickly as possible. We have a diverse team, all bringing something different which is what makes us stronger. Your excellent communication and organisational skills will stand you in good stead and we hope you love using the phone as a lot of the role involves chatting with managers/candidates. You’ll be an excellent networker that relishes a challenge and thrives in a busy environment. We want to get out and chat with candidates as much as possible, so you’ll help attend Jobs Fairs, careers events, interview days – flying the flag for recruitment for the NHS. Even our offices are beautiful! We’re at Preston Business Centre where we’ve lots of parking, beautiful grounds and lovely facilities for our teams including a breakout room with TV and comfy modern seating. Please note the interview will be in person, therefore you will need to attend in person at Preston Business Centre.
It’s fair to say this job is varied and will keep you on your toes. You’ll support the recruitment process by helping managers recruit for their job vacancies, advise on job adverts, recruitment campaigns, interview letters, references, offers of employment, draft contracts, working with managers to market their posts widely. You’ll deal with applicants and managers ensuring high standards of customer care.
Understanding the candidate experience is such a key driver in this role, you’ll help influence their experience & help us continually evolve. Using our computerised systems, you’ll manage a dashboard full of data and information which will help you prioritise your work. You’ll be proactive to ensure our service is the best it can be. We do everything as a team, so you will help with the development and implementation of new recruitment initiatives and ensure that all recruitment processes are carried out in accordance with current employment legislation and good practice. Our Partnership brings together the five NHS provider Trusts with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) in Lancashire and South Cumbria to improve health and healthcare. The organisations across Lancashire and South Cumbria involved in the collaboration are Blackpool Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. This is about working together as equal partners to make sure patients, their families and communities benefit across the whole of the area. The aim is to reduce health inequalities and improve services, outcomes and people’s experiences of accessing healthcare. Our partnership also aims to ensure that Lancashire and South Cumbria is a great place to work. We want to further improve quality by sharing skills and best practice, pooling our resources and standardising the way we work where possible to reduce unnecessary duplication. To achieve this we have created One LSC, which will oversee all corporate services for Lancashire and South Cumbria. Please note that One LSC is hosted by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, who would be the employer. Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship, and you will be required to have the right to work in UK to undertake this role, which allows you to work full time. We offer some flexibility for hybrid working, though the role will primarily be office-based during the working week. You will support in the provision of a professional and comprehensive recruitment service to all Directorates of the Trust, including the interpretation and implementation of relevant human resource policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Deliver an effective and comprehensive recruitment service in accordance with agreed professional standards, procedures and timescales.
* Advise on the implementation of relevant human resource policies and procedures.
* Support the implementation of good practice in human resources management across the organisation through liaison with Directorate staff and accurate, timely information exchange.
* Interpret the application of relevant policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
* Ensure that all recruitment processes are carried out in accordance with current employment legislation and good practice.
* Administer and maintain the e-recruitment system: provide advice and support to recruiting managers and applicants, attend departmental meetings, verify shortlists, close vacancies after appointment and complete equal opportunity information.
* Complete all functions on the e-recruitment system as required.
* Quality check person specifications and job descriptions to ensure they reflect duties and the post band.
* Advertising of posts: place advertisements on the e-recruitment system and in the press/professional journals; manage invoices and documentation; liaise with redeployment database; post adverts on Trust social media.
* Prepare contracts and other documentation relating to contractual changes; awareness of Agenda for Change and its application to recruitment docs.
* Assist in design and delivery of recruitment and selection training; prepare workshop materials and group exercises.
* Assist Recruitment Manager/JE Lead with development and administration of new recruitment initiatives; attend meetings and contribute to planning.
* Undertake pre-employment checks in line with NHS Employers Standards and SOPs.
* Administer and assist with DBS Disclosure scheme; interpret DBS Code of Practice for managers and applicants.
* Represent the Trust and the NHS at recruitment events, job fairs and careers promotions as required.
* Process applications for Skilled Worker Visas per Border Agency guidelines and maintain filing.
* Liaise with team members and Directorate; contribute to efficient functioning of the Directorate; cover for colleagues; maintain personal development; support service improvements.
* Undertake project work as required within agreed timescales and quality standards.

Qualifications/Requirements
