Functional Support Assistant (Authorisations & Security)
Competency Centre, Business Services Centre (BSC)
We are seeking a dynamic individual to predominantly provide first line support for the users of the BMS system. You will be based within the Authorisations & Security team, one of four teams in the Competency Centre, within the Business Services Centre, who manage the Councils SAP ERP (known as BMS) and related systems. The Authorisations and Security team provides delivery of first and second line support between 08:00 and 17:00 (Mon-Thurs, 16:30 Fri) for all users through the Service Desk, design, implement and maintain appropriate Authorisations and Security for the BMS user base and manage and monitor the use of licences against the agreed contract.
Experience of working in a Service Desk/Customer Support environment would be advantageous and you must possess excellent customer service skills, along with the ability to work on your own initiative and work effectively as a team player, with good organisational skills. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other IT systems. You must be able to work in a logical and methodical manner, using your own initiative and be able to follow agreed procedures and guidelines, consistently achieving a high level of accuracy.
