We providing you with an exciting opportunity to work at our Primary school as an ECT to start in September!

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic Class Teacher who can bring teaching and learning to life to build on the strengths and vision of our school to ensure all children can be the best they can be. Is that you?

We are looking for someone who:-

1. Is an outstanding teacher who can play a real part in developing the strategic direction of this good school
2. Is committed to raising achievement and overcoming barriers to learning to ensure every child succeeds
3. Understands what high standards look like and how to attain them
4. Is able to inspire, enthuse and motivate others
5. Is able to establish and develop good relationships with all members of the school community
6. Is ambitious for themselves and the school they work in and keen to work in partnership with others

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the duties of a school teacher as set out in the current “School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document”, the post holder would be required to undertake the following responsibilities:

7. To teach all curriculum areas appropriate to children in the primary age range (4-11 years old).
8. To contribute to the general well-being of the children and ethos of the school.
9. To take part in curriculum development as part of a team and as an individual.
10. To promote equal opportunities within the school and to ensure the implementation of the school’s Equal Opportunities policy.

Qualifications:

11. Recognised appropriate teaching qualifications
12. A commitment to continuing personal professional development

Knowledge:

13. Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum appropriate to the children in the primary age range
14. The ability to employ a range of teaching strategies appropriate to different abilities and needs
15. The ability to evaluate effectively and plan flexibly, as an individual and as part of a team
16. Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development.
17. Preparing and marking to facilitate positive pupil development.
18. The ability to incorporate ICT, cross-curricular skills, themes and dimensions in teaching.

Experience:

19. Teaching experience in primary school(s). (or for N.Q.T.s – school experience placements)
