Reactive Maintenance Assistant Manager Vertu Motors, Gateshead Vertu Motors is one of the largest automotive retailer groups throughout the UK and currently have over 190 sites which come under Vertu Motors. We are currently looking for a very talented Reactive Maintenance Assistance Manager to join our property team based at Vertu house, with experience in commercial property maintenance. Working Full Time, Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm with 1 hr for lunch. Note – This role does require some limited out of hours call taking on a rota basis. The Role The purpose of this role is to provide excellent service to our extensive portfolio of dealerships around the UK by following the maintenance process in accordance with our property policy. Main duties and skills needed within the role are: To lead and assist with the management of the reactive maintenance process. Deputise for the maintenance manager in his absence. In-depth knowledge of commercial properties and maintenance is required. Progressing jobs logged by the dealership colleagues to Vertu SLA Agree costs and appoint contractors to attend to property maintenance issues. Liaising with contractors and dealership colleagues to drive a quick resolution. Process invoices for completed works. Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a quick-paced environment. Time management skills are essential in this fast-moving role. Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to handle challenging situations. Ability to problem solve issues and critically analyse quotes whilst maintaining high standards. Comfortable holding contractors accountable and holding challenging conversations. Working knowledge of Health & Safety at work, with the ability to review RAM’s Maintaining accurate records. Participate in the out of hours ‘on call’ phone rota. Proficiency with Excel, word and other office-based systems. Work alongside the PPM coordinator, ensure that the asset register is kept current. Monitor, mentor and assist with managing the small team.
