Key qualifications
* Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
* A strong SEN background, with specific experience supporting pupils with ASD and DS
* Makaton training and the ability to use it confidently in the classroom
* Read Write Inc. training and experience supporting early reading and phonics
* The ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils and staff
* A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour
Key responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of tailored learning activities
* Supporting communication, language, and emotional development
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
