In this role as Technical Account Lead, you will be part of the Business Development Team, working alongside the team to meet business objectives and aims. Our goal is to sustainably grow the organization and expand our portfolio by delivering for existing clients and building further opportunities. You will provide assurance and confidence for customers using the AIVR or DepotMATE systems, ensuring these systems meet their expectations and requirements.
You will oversee the technical success of multiple accounts and projects, from early surveys and trials to ongoing system usage, identifying opportunities for technical advancement and deployment. You will also stay informed about upcoming opportunities in the Business Development pipeline, preparing for project launches, liaising with relevant sectors and teams, and ensuring successful deployment and usage.
Through your growing knowledge, experience, and customer relationship management, you will identify additional opportunities with clients. You will collaborate with Business Development and Commercial teams to provide technical insights and support for proposals, aiming to grow customer accounts and achieve high customer satisfaction and technical success.
You will be based in Derby or Bristol and will need to travel to these locations for internal and customer meetings. Travel to customer sites may be required to meet clients, demonstrate AIVR/DepotMATE capabilities, and conduct lightweight technical surveys (training provided) to facilitate further technical discussions.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate within the business development team to support customer accounts, maintaining updated knowledge of account statuses and success targets.
2. Attend client sites as needed to understand requirements, challenges, and opportunities, gathering technical information and providing high-level demonstrations of equipment and data capture.
3. Have comprehensive knowledge of the AIVR systems and DepotMATE, supporting and monitoring activity, and resolving issues with support from internal teams.
4. Coordinate with the Product and Technical Teams to stay informed about AIVR Machine Learning models and demonstrate their applications and outputs relevant to each account.
5. Respond to calls and emails from customers, providing demonstrations and addressing issues related to the AIVR Dashboard.
6. Keep records of communications with customers and update the prospect register for new requirements to assist the delivery team.
7. Provide feedback from customer interactions to suggest improvements that enhance satisfaction.
8. Assist in preparing proposal documents, sharing technical insights and understanding customer needs.
9. Contribute to providing feedback and usage metrics on account performance and growth to the Business Development team and senior management.
Personal Qualities and Experience
* Excellent communication skills, including verbal, presentation, and written communication.
* Confidence in using camera and technical equipment (training provided).
* Effective team player.
* Proactive in identifying and pursuing business leads and opportunities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Organized in managing leads and customer information.
* Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
* Previous experience in the rail industry is advantageous.
* Experience in commercial bid writing is advantageous.
