Role responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
* Preparing and reviewing tax computations and returns for individuals, partnerships, and limited companies
* Providing tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and savings
* Liaising with HMRC and handling client queries efficiently
* Assisting with tax audits and investigations, offering technical expertise and support
* Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and applying them effectively
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional development
* Collaborating with other departments to provide a seamless service to clients

Candidate requirements
* CTA qualified (or equivalent) or working towards qualification
* Proven experience managing a diverse client portfolio in a practice environment
* Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance and planning
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
* A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with strong problem-solving abilities
* Experience supporting and mentoring junior staff is advantageous
