Senior Accountant

The Role
As Senior Accountant, you’ll prepare and review accounts, management information, and tax returns, while helping clients make informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
* Preparing and reviewing management accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations
* Reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues and offering guidance and feedback
* Liaising directly with clients to build strong, long-term relationships
* Supporting managers and partners with advisory and planning projects
* Ensuring all client work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with deadlines
* Identifying opportunities for process improvement and value-added services
About You
You’ll be a technically strong, organised, and client-focused accountant who enjoys variety and responsibility.
You will:
* Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
* Have experience working within a UK accountancy practice
* Be confident preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
* Have strong knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be proactive, commercially minded, and committed to delivering high-quality client service
* Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team
