Tradewind Recruitment is proud to work in partnership with a range of supportive and inclusive mainstream and SEN schools in Colchester, Essex, who are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams. These are full-time, roles and, for the right candidates, can lead to permanent positions or teacher training opportunities within the school.
Schools are especially keen to hear from graduates with degrees in Maths, English, Psychology, or creative subjects, although applicants from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
This is a varied and engaging role where no two days are the same. Depending on the needs of the school, you will either:
Support learning across the whole class alongside the class teacher, or
Work more closely with individual pupils or small groups who have additional learning needs, including Autism and SEND
You'll be fully supported by experienced class teachers, the SENCO, and the Senior Leadership Team, giving you the guidance and confidence needed to thrive in the classroom and develop your skills in education.
The Role
Support teaching and learning within a classroom
Provide 1:1 or small group support where required
Help pupils stay engaged, motivated, and confident in their learning
Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Reliable, adaptable, and able to commute to or based in Colchester
