Role Purpose
Provide technical and administrative support to the Rights of Way team, including assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the Definitive Map and Statement.
Public and Partner Liaison
Act as a main point of contact for public enquiries and work regularly with colleagues, local authorities, parish councils, land charge companies, and countryside organisations.
Technical and Research Tasks
Carry out research, surveys, mapping, document preparation, land charge searches, and provide detailed rights of way information for planning applications.
Operational Administration
Process temporary path closures, manage performance indicator surveys, maintain databases and records, process invoices, and monitor income related to rights of way activities.
Skills and Knowledge Required
* Strong map reading
* Surveying
* GIS (e.g. MapInfo)
* Database and Microsoft Office skills
* Knowledge of public rights of way legislation and procedures
