We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in London. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without compromising on efficiency.

Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:30
Weekends & Bank Holidays: 08:30 – 17:30

This position is full time working 37.5 hrs per week and you’ll receive an annual salary up to £43,756 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
* Work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs.
* Deliver the highest standard of care to clients in line with National Guidelines.

* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience

Job responsibilities
As a GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group you will become an integral member of the pharmacy team, as well as a valued member of the multidisciplinary clinical healthcare team. You will:
* Provide outstanding quality based patient-centred care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and that standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysing cost-effective prescribing as defined through our health in justice medicines policy. You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.
* Promote best practice, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning. Communicate complex or sensitive information with empathy.
* Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary team are appropriately informed.
