SDLMinorfern is looking for an enthusiastic and eager People and Culture Coordinator for our Head Office in Clay Cross, Chesterfield.

This is an in-person role, involving some travel around our branches.
Each working week consists of 40 hours, made up of 5 x 8-hour days Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5.30pm.

What will the role be?
Scope of Role: Administration, design, delivery, and evaluation.
Main Purpose of Job:
* Provide administrative support to the business and People and Culture team.
* Facilitate new and existing team members training and development requirements and ensure the design and delivery of effective training initiatives.
* Working flexibly and adapting to changes.
* Continuously improving how we deliver our services.
Key Accountabilities:
* Providing day to day People and Culture administration support to the People Strategist.
* Acting as first point of contact for general People and Culture queries.
* Carrying out People and Culture Best Practices within the department.
* Maintaining the People and Culture system record-based systems with new starters, leavers and other employee changes and actions
* Producing confidential correspondence including Employment Contracts and employee relation letters.
* Ensuring all new employees complete and produce the required documents during our onboarding process.
* Participation and delivery on People and Culture related projects as required.
* Dealing with internal and external enquiries by telephone, email, and letter.
* Printing, scanning, and filing and general administration duties
* To complete the initial recruitment/talent sourcing process.
* Note taking at meetings and formal hearings.
* General administration duties for the health and safety team, including the maintenance and updating of training records.
* To collate and maintain our absence management process.
* To issue contracts to new starters within 24 hours of the offer being made.
* To respond to enquires/issues within one working day.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Manage the co-ordination of all aspects of training sessions including, the capturing of training data, promoting sessions, room bookings, attendance, and feedback after training sessions.
* Support and deliver the corporate induction where necessary.
* Suggest improvements that will reduce manual tasks and escalate issues, ideas, and potential solutions with the People Strategist
* Promote and represent the Group positively by providing a proactive customer service based on an understanding of customer demands, their relationship with the organisation and promoting our services.
* Comply with all the Group’s policies, procedures, and controls relevant to the role to mitigate risk to the Group.
* Support the review and implementation of new processes, services, and tools as part of any relevant transformation activity.
* Responsible for own personal and professional development and ensuring attend all required development events appropriate to the role.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* A good standard of general education
* Computer literate, with working experience of MS Office
* Ability to cope with pressure and always maintain a calm manner
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Able to build strong working relationships with excellent customer service
* Appreciates and understands the need with confidentiality in dealing with HR/ people issues
* Be highly organised with proven administration skills.
* Have a genuine interest in working in People and Culture and have a flexible ‘can do’ approach to dealing with changing priorities and be able to demonstrate the capability/willingness to learn.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to deal professionally with employees (at all levels), prospective employees, and third parties either face to face or by telephone.
* Take responsibility and accountability for own work, and be able to meet deadlines, with a high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
* Understand the need to maintain a high level of confidentiality
* Demonstrated interest in L & D processes and online delivery tools including social media
* Experience of undertaking general administrative duties in a busy office environment*
* Practical experience of routine office processes e.g., filing and record keeping*
* Experience of working with and maintaining People and Culture Information systems*
Pay: Up to £29,500 per year

* HR Experience: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferable).
