The Role: As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in every child’s learning journey by: Delivering lessons that last : Using our smart learning tool, Compass, you’ll deliver tailored sessions where you facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching. Building meaningful relationships : With a 1:6 ratio, you’ll get to know each child and create a safe, inspiring environment where they can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning. Driving academic progress : Support members as they work through the national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes along the way. We’re looking for people who: Are confident leading sessions with small groups (1:6), always putting children’s safety and wellbeing first. Feel comfortable supporting children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum, including 11 entrance exams and GCSE content. Are committed to building meaningful, long-term relationships, providing the consistency and stability that helps children thrive. Have achieved a grade 5 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent. Please note: we accept predicted GCSE grades if you will be receiving your results within the next 3 months. Logistics: Location: This is an on-site role and you will be based at our Bramingham Park Luton centre. Contract: You will be contracted to work at least 6 hours a week over 2 different days. Our shift start times are between 3:30pm and 4pm on weekdays. Role requirements: You must be age 16 or over and have the right to work in the UK. Pay Rates & Progression: Earn more as you progress! You will start on the base rate for your age group, with an annual opportunity to increase your pay based on the number of hours you have tutored for us. Base Hourly Rate: Under 18 : £8 .40 18-20: £10.90 21: £12.75 *an additional 50p per hour will be added if working at a centre inside the M25. You will be paid for all training and inductions.
