About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We’re looking to recruit a Section Engineer with Earthworks experience, to join our team based in the Brackley area.
Key responsibilities
* Report to the Sub Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to close out.
* Assist with temporary works design schemes and liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works to the required standards, programme and budget.
* Manage the site setting-out team and oversee the performance and development of the Site Engineers.
* Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent.
* Monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works meet contractual requirements.
* Ensure the team has current information and resources to carry out duties; assist with production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.
About You
Key Skills and Qualifications
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent, working towards institute membership (ICE).
* Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities with construction supervision skills.
* Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is essential.
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
* CSCS card (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor).
* SSSTS/SMSTS qualification.
