Department: Marketing & Communications Reports To: Manager – Corporate Communications Directly Responsible For: No direct reports Hours: 37 Overall team / department purpose - The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for ensuring that our business has a dynamic, proactive and engaging marketing and communications strategy in place, which protects and enhances our businesses reputation, communicates effectively with customers and colleagues and promotes business products and services. - The team act as ambassadors for the brand and with all associated activities being planned, managed and delivered to fully support our business Vision, Values and Corporate Plan. Key role priorities This role will excel in crafting clear, compelling messages that align with and support the business’ objectives and values. They will work with their team to deliver smart and strategic internal and external communications, bespoke to the channels they use and always ensuring consistency across all platforms. With strong organisational skills and attention to detail, they coordinate events, write copy, deliver multi-media content and get involved in executing wider communications campaigns. Their ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, combined with their creativity and tactical thinking, helps to enhance Livv’s internal and external image and improve engagement. Key working relationships - The role is required to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Marketing & Communications Team to deliver an efficient and effective communications service and acts as a first point of contact for communications-related enquiries from our business. - Externally, the holder may need to liaise with external agencies and suppliers in completing certain elements of work and is a key point of contact for external communications enquiries. Main duties & responsibilities - Coordinate the creation and delivery of our quarterly colleague magazine. - Maintain and update the company intranet with the latest news, resources, and documents. Making sure that the content is easily accessible and user-friendly. - Create engaging visual and multimedia content, such as videos, infographics, podcasts and presentations, to enhance internal communications and make information more digestible. - Create and manage regular internal newsletters and content that highlight company news, employee achievements, case studies, upcoming events, and other relevant information. This helps keep everyone informed and fosters a sense of community. - Organize internal events like town hall meetings, large scale ‘all colleague’ conferences, training sessions, and team-building activities. Handle logistics, invitations, and follow-up communications to ensure successful events. - Develop and implement initiatives to boost employee engagement, such as surveys, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs. Gather and analyse feedback to improve communication strategies. - Plan and deliver internal communications activity – in line with our agreed campaign plans. - Act as the communications representative at a range of internal and external groups and projects - Support with the production of well-written and relevant copy for a variety of corporate communications materials. - Support with the production of copy and content for key corporate publications - Support the delivery of internal and external marketing and communications strategy and operational delivery plans. - Act as a brand champion, guiding colleagues to deliver the business’s tone of voice. - Work with colleagues to develop and deliver a sustained employer brand campaign. - Liaise with stakeholders across the business for content. - Work collaboratively with the PR Officer on stories and award entries. - Maintain and develop a relevant photo library. - Monitor the internal communications inbox. - Produce monthly reports on internal and external communication performance. - Proactively research and benchmark best practices for communications content, channels, and tools. Key measures of success - Monthly intranet content plan developed, delivered and reviewed. - Successful delivery of all planned and reactive internal communication content and successful production and delivery of our colleague magazine. - Successful delivery of internal and external communications plans - Monthly intranet statistic/insight reports produced in a timely manner. Person Specification E - Essential criteria / D - Desirable criteria Education & Qualifications 5 GCSEs (Grade 4 or above) including English and Maths or equivalent relevant qualification (E) Relevant degree and/or journalistic and/or CIPR qualification (D) Experience Copy-writing for internal and/or external audiences using a variety of communication tools (E) Event Management (E) Delivery of multi-media content – videos, podcasts and other developing communication tools (E) Successful delivery of agreed internal or external Communication plans (E) Development and delivery of publications (Print and/or online) (E) Producing successful award entries (E) CMS internal/ external platforms (E) Development and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers (E) Marketing and Communications in a Social Housing Setting (D) Reporting - digital platforms/google analytics/PR assessment platforms (D) Employment in Customer Service/Public facing organisation (D) Skills, knowledge & ability Highly effective verbal and written communication skills (E) Understanding of complex business related content and ability to translate into engaging, clear and understandable content (E) Attention to detail (E) Great questioner and listener (E) Ability to work with minimal supervisionand to prioritise projects to tight deadlines (E) Fully literate in key word processing software packages for general communications and reports (E) Event management (D) Personal characteristics Evidence of ongoing personal development (E) Other A flexible approach to hours worked (E) Able to travel independently to other locations (E) Give Get Go As part of our commitment to the Give Get Go Programme, we will ensure that applicants who meet all essential criteria, as defined in the person specification, will be guaranteed the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities at interview.
