The Senior Desktop Analyst Role: As our Senior Desktop Analyst, you will be a key part of a customer focussed IT Services team and fundamental to the delivery of: an IT desktop experience which meets the need of all of our users application deployment desktop automation and remote support systems enterprise end point security. Responsibilities as our Senior Desktop Analyst will include: To ensure that all tasks and developments are documented for colleagues to refer to. To ensure that workstations have the latest critical and security patches, as well as appropriate end-point security, applied to protect our users and workstations from cyber security threats, malware and viruses. All to ensure that we maintain our Cyber Essentials accreditation. To ensure that workstations and systems meet the requirements of our obligations with regard to safeguarding and online safety and that students and staff are protected from harmful content. Keep up-to-date with technical developments and provide additional documentation where necessary. Assist Network Managers with the day-to-day maintenance of College IT networks including network security, LAN and wireless infrastructure and voice systems as directed. Provide skilled on-going support and advice to students and staff using College IT systems. Promote the use of the IT systems and Unified Communication tools available to students and staff to ensure the appropriate College systems are used to support their role. To liaise with academic staff to ensure that we identify and respond to their changing and challenging IT and application requirements, in order that they can provide excellent teaching. Ensure that all College IT Desktop systems are well maintained and operated in accordance with sound educational practices, current health and safety regulations and report any cases of abuse of IT and presentation systems and take appropriate remedial action. The servicing and repair of IT, presentation and voice systems. To support existing desktop systems including: - Microsoft Active Directory computer, user and group administration - user and computer group policy - Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to deploy workstation images and applications - Microsoft InTune endpoint enrolment - Microsoft and Apple remote management tools. As our Senior Desktop Analyst, you'll ideally have: Minimum of Level 3 National Qualification in IT or a Computing related subject. Good interpersonal and written skills. Good communication skills. Demonstrable proven track record in customer service skills. Methodical approach to problem solving. Good organisational skills. Demonstrable passion for IT and IT Systems. Good knowledge of IT hardware and experience in PC Maintenance. At least 3 years' experience in: - supporting Windows Operating Systems and software applications. - IT network administration including the use of Active Directory tools. - working within IT and network support.
