Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a Flex company, is a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings, ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies. To support our teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a CPS Technical Manager, located in Kendal at our Castle Mills.
Reporting to the Service & Maintenance Operations Manager, the CPS Technical Manager will provide technical support for project and maintenance works, ensuring all tasks are completed to specification, on time, within budget, and in line with company quality and safety standards.
What a typical day looks like:
1. Apply the company’s methodology and enforce project standards throughout all phases.
2. Develop and execute maintenance work plans, revising as needed.
3. Manage warranty issues and product recalls when necessary.
4. Review and sign off on the Rectification & Remedial tracker before works commence.
5. Assess and prepare parts required for upcoming service works.
6. Review subcontractor RAMS before work begins.
7. Liaise with clients and provide technical advice.
8. Collaborate with the design team to modify drawings as needed.
9. Ensure service engineers have the correct parts and test equipment.
10. Assist with technical support on call outs and service works.
11. Generate comprehensive Operation & Maintenance manuals, including operation and maintenance procedures.
12. Support the technical department as required.
13. Provide technical assistance to the CPS operations and sales teams, and key clients.
14. Create and review CPS reports.
15. Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for LV Switchgear tasks.
16. Ensure all project documentation is complete and properly stored.
17. Lead by example, promoting safety and quality culture.
18. Encourage risk management ownership across the team.
19. Maintain awareness of QHSE matters.
20. Seek opportunities to streamline and improve processes.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
* A relevant degree is beneficial.
* Proven experience supporting a Maintenance team in a technical role.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, SLDs, and Schematics.
* Strong experience reviewing RAMS and Method Statements.
* Experience in the Power industry is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
