Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school setting?
GSL Education are looking for a calm, reliable and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Eastbourne. You’ll be working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, supporting pupils with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social and emotional challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
Help adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
Support emotional regulation and classroom behaviour
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Monitor and share progress
Foster an inclusive, supportive environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN in primary schools
Knowledge of autism, SEMH, ADHD, or speech and language needs
Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
An updated CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
