TDK-Lambda UK Ltd is a successful and long established design and manufacturing company of standard and configurable AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies situated on the pleasant North Devon Coast. We are entering an exciting period of change and expansion with ambitious plans for the manufacturing facility An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Sales Department for someone who is interested in furthering their career. The position would suit someone who has, or would like to gain experience of, training new recruits in sales office processes, whilst learning how to lead and manage a team. You will report to the Internal Sales Team Leader, providing support in the running of the Sales Department and cover for planned absence. Previous experience working in the Sales Department or providing training and support to others would be a definite advantage. Main duties and responsibilities: Take the lead in recruiting new staff members, delivering a training plan and conducting progress reviews. Be able to identify and deliver training for all aspects of the Sales Co-ordinator job role and provide mentoring as required. Understand, maintain and be able to train others in the hierarchy of the UK Sales department and the UK Sales Team. Represent the Internal Sales Team Leader as required, typical cover to include: Ability to create and publish monthly forecasts Be able to participate in LN Buffer stock & Contract reviews Participate in new projects/workshops Be able to maintain and develop department procedures Be able to set up and chair meetings and give presentations Be able to publish the weekly lead time bulletin Be able to complete customer questionnaires and Export Control Certificates Participate in product End of Life activities Be responsible for dedicated Customer Regions, to include: Processing customer orders and amendments Liaise with other departments across Europe to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded Generate Quotations: supply pricing and supporting information to customers to secure new business. Provide excellent customer support over the phone and by email Report analysis: proactively look for improvements in supply chain for customers Work with Commercial Regional Managers and colleagues to provide competitive customer support Skills and qualifications: A key aspect of the role will involve dealing with internal & external customers and providing support to other team members in the Sales Department, therefore, excellent communication skills are essential. The flexibility to lead the team when required and work well as part of that team is essential, as well as the ability to motivate and lead by example. Being able to work alone, react to changing targets and be able to prioritise tasks is crucial to this role. The ability to contribute to, support and put into practise decisions made for the department/team is essential. Attention to detail, the ability to problem solve and work well under pressure is essential. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Particularly CRM, Excel & Word) and the confidence to learn internal software programs & procedures. Previous experience in a similar role, whilst not essential, would be an advantage. This is a Grade 3 position. The successful applicant will work a 37.50 hour week. Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.15 am - 5.00 pm. Friday 8.15 - 12.45 pm - with cover required to 2.30 pm on a rota basis Flexi-time will be considered and flexible hours can be discussed at interview.
